One of my iPad apps is frozen or doesn’t work.

If you have an app that freezes or isn't working the way it should, try the following.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until you see the red slider button (don’t slide it). Let go of the Sleep/Wake button. Now press and hold the Home button for about six seconds, then let go. This should end the problem app and take you back to the Home screen. Try launching the app to see if it behaves.
- If that doesn't work, go to the Home screen. Double-click the Home button. You will see preview screens of recently used apps. Swipe up on the preview of the problem app to force quit it. Press the Home button twice and try launching the app again.
- If force quitting the app doesen't work, restart the iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider button appears. Use the slider to turn the iPad off. After the screen goes black, hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears. Then let go of the Sleep/Wake button. After the iPad boots, try launching the app again.
- If restarting the iPad doesen't work, reset the iPad (different from restarting). Hold down on both the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears on the black screen. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of both buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the issue you're experiencing.
