Why is there a "Caution" message at the beginning of some of the emails I’ve received?

To support staff in identifying spam or malicious messages that are posing as NSD services, emails that originate outside of the district will automatically have a caution message applied to them. The caution message will look like this and will appear on messages that originate from an email address outside of NSD:

This caution message will only be applied once to each email thread.  This means that if you reply to a sender from outside the district, when they reply to you again, the caution message will NOT be included in their reply.  To check the email address of the message sender, hover over the email address in the header of the message.
