How do I make a new calendar in Outlook?

Outlook allows each user to have multiple calendars. Users can have calendars for their class, for projects, and/or personal calendars, etc..

New calendars are made by using the Outlook web client:

  1. Log into Outlook at

  2. Outlook will open in the Mail application, so you’ll need to select the Calendar application in the lower left portion of the window.


  1. Within the calendar pane that opens on the left, click the + symbol. A new calendar will appear the bottom of your calendar list.

  1. Enter a name for the new calendar.

  1. To enter an event in your new calendar, click “+ New” at the top of the center pane, and choose your calendar from the calendar drop down list in the event creation window.
