An iPad app crashes when I launch it. It flashes for a second and goes back to the Home screen.


If you are experiencing an issue with an app not launching, you may need to update the app.

STUDENT iPads

  1. Launch Self Service
  2. Click on the Updates tab
  3. Click Install next to the app that is experiencing issues.

STAFF iPads

  1. Launch the App Store app
  2. Click on the Updates tab
  3. Click Install next to the app that is experiencing issues.

If you are still experiencing issues after updating the app, try updating iOS. 

  1. Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi and make sure the iPad is connected to NSDPrivate.
  2. Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and click Install. The installation will take approximately 15 minutes (sometimes longer).
  3. Once the iOS has been updated, try updating the app again using the instructions above.
