My district iPad won’t connect to NSDPrivate.


If you have a district issued iPad that won’t connect to NSDPrivate, please follow the steps below.

1. Temporarily switch Wi-Fi networks (to NSDPublic).

  1. Go to  Settings -> Wi-Fi .
  2. Select NSDPublic .
  3. Wait 60 seconds, then switch back to NSDPrivate.

Check to see if the problem still exists. If so, continue to Step 2.

2. Try a "reset" (different from restarting)

  1. Hold down both the Home AND Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo on black screen (about 10 seconds).
  2. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of both buttons.
  3. Try connecting to NSDPrivate ( Settings -> Wi-Fi -> NSDPrivate )

Check to see if the problem still exists. If so, continue to Step 3.

3. Turn Wi-Fi off and on again.

  1. Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi .
  2. In the upper right corner, switch OFF Wi-Fi.
  3. Wait 10 seconds, then switch ON Wi-Fi
  4. Wait 10 seconds. Try connecting to NSDPrivate .

Check to see if the problem still exists. If so, continue to Step 4.

4. Try resetting the network settings.

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings .
  2. In the pop-up window, click Reset .
  3. The iPad will restart.
  4. When it comes back up, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi and try connecting to NSDPrivate .

Check to see if the problem still exists. If the iPad still won't connect to NSDPrivate, please submit a Web Help Desk work order ticket and include the iPad's district barcode number.
