My email doesn’t work in Apple Mail on my district iPad/iPhone.


This article will help you check and fix the settings for email, calendar, and contacts on  district owned iPads and iPhones . For personal phones, see KB Article 737 .

Connect to NSDPrivate

First, be sure your district iPad or iPhone is connected to NSDPrivate (Settings -> WiFi -> NSDPrivate). Then check the following settings and edit as needed. If your iPad won't connect to NSDPrivate, see KB Article 706 .

 

For iPads and iPhones on iOS 12, iOS 13, ipadOS 13:

NOTE: If you don't see your account listed in Step 1 below, please open a  Web Help Desk  ticket and include your iPad or iPhone barcode number.

  1. Launch Settings -> Passwords & Accounts -> Accounts ->  username @nsd.org
    1. Be sure that all options are turned  ON  (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes).
    2. Select your  username @nsd.org account, and scroll down to Password .
    3. Enter your email password.
    4. Click “Done”
  2. Launch Settings -> Calendar
    1. On the right side, scroll down to the bottom and change the default calendar to the @nsd.org account's option called "Calendar".
  3. Launch Settings -> Contacts
    1. On the right side, click "Default Account" and select your username@nsd.org account.


For iPads and iPhones on iOS 11:

NOTE: If you don't see your account listed in Step 1 below, please open a Web Help Desk ticket and include your iPad or iPhone barcode number.

  1. Launch Settings -> Accounts & Passwords -> Accounts -> username @nsd.org
    1. Be sure that all options are turned ON (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes).
    2. Select your username @nsd.org account, and scroll down to Password .
    3. Enter your email password.
    4. Click “Done”
  2. Launch Settings -> Calendar
    1. On right side, scroll down to the bottom and change the default calendar to the @nsd.org account's Calendar option.


For iPads and iPhones on iOS 10:

NOTE: If you don't see your account listed in Step 1 below, please open a Web Help Desk ticket and include your iPad or iPhone barcode number.

  1. Launch Settings -> Mail -> Accounts ->  username @nsd.org
    1. Be sure that all options are turned ON (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes)
    2. Select your username @nsd.org account
    3. Scroll down to Password. Enter your email password.
    4. Click “Done”
  2. Launch Settings -> Calendar
    1. On right side, scroll down to the bottom and change the default calendar to the @nsd.org account's Calendar option.

 

If you continue to have issues or are still unable to see your email, contacts, or calendar on your iPad or iPhone, please open a Web Help Desk ticket. Be sure to include your iPad or iPhone barcode number.
